I created this fairy garden that sits right out by the sidewalk of my home. Although I live in a very nice neighborhood, to prevent my fairy garden from theft, I glued my fairy houses with cement glue, to big rocks and then glued the big rocks to this cement lily pad planter. These houses aren't going anywhere. Find out next, how I secure other things to this garden, as I add things to this garden.
Last weekend I drove through the snow, bringing along a variety of fairy garden inventory- for a six year olds fairy garden party,
The Mom supplied the containers and I brought along several fairy houses, a variety of fairies, stepping stones, miniature tropical house plants, choice of small animal, beach sand and a bit of moss. The beautiful birthday fairy and her six guests had a grand time putting their fairy gardens together. Here are a few pictures from the event! P. S. Lovely Flower Fairy party supplies are now available at www.LittleFairyGarden.com! A Fairy Garden is a miniature scene created for the little fairies that often hide from our GIANT human world. Fairy gardens have been around for over a hundred years, and began in England- although not as elaborate as some fairy gardens today. Decorate your flower beds with a miniature scene for your visiting little friends, with a little fairy house, a table and chair or perhaps an entire little fairy village around an old oak tree. Create a refuge for visiting fairies indoors, or outdoors, in a big pot, in a birdbath, or an old wagon. Then sit back and wait to see what little trinkets or gifts the fairies leave.
I look forward to hearing your great ideas and sharing pictures of all the beautiful fairy gardens! The sky is the limit! This is going to be fun! Here we go..... |
